Unique panorama on the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland, the Jura and the Chablais valleys. Site listed in the Michelin Guide which describes this place as "the most beautiful observatory on Lake Geneva".

This itinerary will first take you to the Mémises alpine chalets in the Thollon-les-Mémises ski area. This pretty loop will take you through some superb scenery on the Pic de Borée. You will then reach the Pic des Mémises by a round trip, where you will have a view overlooking Lake Geneva from one end to the other. Marking details : Departmental markings called P.D.I.P.R. on beige metal panel and green writing. Tricky passages : Be careful on the crest and at the pic des Mémises, especially with children. It is strongly advised to stay on the path as the cliffs are steep. Map references : TOP 25 N°3528 ET Morzine Massif du Chablais Les Portes du Soleil Be well shod and equipped.

0/ Top of the Thollon-les-Mémises cable car.
1/ At the exit of the cable car, take the path on the left (which climbs slightly).
2/ Continue to the bottom of the La Frasse chairlift to make a loop and return to the gondola.
3/ At the cable car, take the path to the Pic des Mémises.
4/ The return is by the same route.
Variant: at the peak of the Mémises, you can go down the Col de Pertuis then return to the gondola by another way. Do not follow the direction "L'échelle". This allow you to make a loop.
