Tour de France 2026

Join us on 21 July for a 26km individual time trial in Évian-les-Bains!

The town of Évian-les-Bains is hosting the 2026 Tour de France and will be celebrating the hundredth anniversary of the 1926 start. In 1926, the riders of the Tour de France set off from Évian for the longest race of all time (5,745 kilometres).

It was the first time the race had started outside the capital.

100 years later, the stars of world cycling will set off from Barcelona… before meeting up again in the Chablais region, in Évian-les-Bains!

16th stage

This stage is a 26km individual time trial between Évian-les-Bains and Thonon-les-Bains, along the shores of Lake Geneva.

The time trial is a tricky one: it includes the Larringes climb (9.7km at 4.3%), which makes it a demanding course (1/3 uphill, 1/3 downhill, 1/3 flat) and is likely to open up gaps between the favourites.
