Do you know Nordic skiing?

Abondance

There’s a magnificent 3km loop, free and groomed, for cross-country skiing or skating.

Just a 10-minute drive from the village centre, the Lac des Plagnes Nordic site will amaze you with its mountainous winter scenery.

Situated at an altitude of 1191 m, this wilderness area, between forest and plain, is ideal for Nordic activities: dog sledding, snowshoe trekking, ski touring…

Its enchanting surroundings promise you a great time in the great outdoors!

La Chapelle d'Abondance

Starting from La Panthiaz, 5 groomed cross-country ski runs with double track, a pedestrian circuit, a fun activity area and a Nordic foyer to keep warm.

The 21.8km of trails are groomed and groomed every day, and offer a range of different levels of difficulty, allowing you to practise both skating and cross-country skiing.

As well as Nordic skiing, other activities are available on the Nordic area: biathlon, Nordic Park, orienteering and toboggan run.

Before you set off on your ski touring trip, we advise you to seek advice from the professionals in the village (guides and pisteurs) and to tell your friends or accommodation provider where you are going to ski tour.

The weather

Before setting off to conquer the most beautiful peaks, check the weather conditions and avalanche risks, and bring your safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe).
