The STT/Super Trop Top company likes to venture off the beaten track. This new stage show, presented outdoors in the Chablais wine-growing region, explores the themes of friendship, wine and the passage of time.
Their paths crossed 35 years ago, in the middle of the wine-growing countryside. One morning, Anna, a winegrower's daughter, picks up Hervé, a young student looking for his first job. Just in time, the family estate was short of hands for the harvest. Once the first harvest is over, Anna and Hervé become friends. While she went off to live her artistic life in Paris, he came back every year to pick grapes, put down roots in the village and settled on the estate. Until the day the estate is threatened by a multinational takeover. Anna's return to her parents marks the end of a cycle, and opens the door to introspection. How does one leave one's roots and return to them? How do you confront your childhood hopes with the reality of your adult life? On the stage, Delphine Lanza and Olivier Broche (a former member of Les Deschiens, currently starring in François Morel's latest show, Art) interpret the meeting of Anne and Hervé, their desires and their thwarted destinies, with accuracy and tenderness.
