Among the many departure points, the 5 main spots (Bernex and Thollon Tourist Information Offices, Col de la Creusaz in Bernex, Lac de la Beunaz and Collège du Pays de Gavot in Saint-Paul en Chablais) offer large-format information boards and, for the first two, very useful related services (bike wash, repair tools, etc.).
As for the terrain, you’ll enjoy the rolling countryside, moderate gradients and some more challenging and technical routes in Bernex and Thollon.
VTTAE in BernexThere are many mountain bike trails to discover in the Leman Mountains Explore area. From Thollon-les-Mémises to La Chapelle d’Abondance, via Bernex and the Plateau de Gavot: travel between mountain and lake and explore some extraordinary landscapes.
The Pays d’Évian Vallée d’Abondance is fortunate to have a number of signposted trails where you can enjoy the mountain biking experience to the full.
Many routes and circuits are also accessible in the Portes du Soleil area.

Two routes that are almost entirely downhill! The first starts from Thollon and offers 700 m of downhill over 12 km to Evian, while the second starts from Bernex and covers 31 km and 800 m of downhill to the Cité de l’Eau.
The practical option is to use the shuttle bus to get to the starting point with your bike.
Bernex has set up a Bikepark (supervised by patrollers) with a 400-metre gradient. You’ll meet many mountain bike champions who come here to train!
