With his notebook and pen as his only weapons, he crosses short and long stories, defying the reason of the strongest with alexandrines and metaphors; invoking in turn Hugo, Jaurès, Apollinaire, Rimbaud, Louise Michel, Jacques Brel, and so many others.

A formidable storyteller, accompanied on stage by Claire Bernardot on accordion and vocals, HK offers a show in verse and song, as conscious and enlightened as it is unifying and poetic. His leitmotiv has always been to use his writing and his music to help people retain or rediscover the desire to dance together, beyond their differences, beyond their divergences, in an age when almost everything could encourage us to turn in on ourselves, and to reject the other.

When war and darkness close in, when despair, fear and hatred threaten us, poetry is that little glimmer of light inside us; that voice that resonates, those words that touch us, awaken us, challenge us, fill us with wonder; and which, in a way, also reason with us.
